I seem to have lost the ability to even imagine what it feels like not to be perpetually sticky. The heat in Indonesia is so humid, that even a few minutes outside are sufficient for me to give off the impression that I haven’t showered in days. Therefore, I am happy to announce that I’m headed on a press trip to an equally hot, but at the same time much drier climate: the desert of Jordan.

Today I will hop on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul and – 30 exhausting hours later – I will hopefully re-emerge still somewhat alive in Aqaba.

There are some amazing activities planned, including a tour of Petra by night, snorkeling and diving in the Red Sea, hiking the Haroun trail, climbing and camel riding in Wadi Rum and a flight over the desert. All in all, there is a packed program and a lot of adventure in Jordan’s Golden Triangle waiting for me.

The fun starts January 29th. If you want to keep up with my adventures, follow me live on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and check in under the hashtags #sharemyjordan and #eatmyjordan to see what Brendan and I are up to.
